The Hillcrest Fire Department (about 60 minutes from New York City) in Rockland County hosted a full day RESPONDSMART safe apparatus driver safety seminar in September 2009. This class was held as an addition to their established driver safety and training program and was intended to increase awareness of safe apparatus operation both responding and returning. Mike Dallessandro (www.respondsmart.com) was the speaker for the day and all attendees had an enjoyable training experience.
