About Michael P. Dallessandro

Mike is a life member of the Grand Island Fire Company Incorporated. He has served as a Lieutenant of station #2 the home of Engine Company #4 and Rescue 7-1, and has also been the company President, VP, Secretary, Fire Prevention Officer, member of the Board of Review and a member of the Board of Directors serving from 2004-2009 and served as Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for 2005-2007. He has also been a New York State Certified EMT, EMT-II, EMT-4 Paramedic, 911 Dispatcher and also served as the Fire Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer for the Town of Grand Island from 1994-2000.

Mike works full time in public school administration and currently oversees transportation services for a large school district located in Niagara County, NY. He has also served as the assistant director of staff development for the Kenmore-Tonawanda School District where he was directly involved with the in-service training of over 600 support employees. Currently he directly oversees the transportation services of his district and directly supervises approximately 125 unionized hourly employees, 80 vehicles, a large bus repair facility and a 3.5 million dollar annual department budget.
